Plans for Villain Lairs

Here at a lower angle the room looks more finished.
I got a bunch of stacking plastic storage crates.
From the outside they look a bit like modern buildings.
Stacked they look a lot like skyscrapers.  My plan is to stack them on their sides.  I looked for ones that would stack that way.  I got most of them at Walmart.  They seem to be in stock most of the time, in several sizes.  Insert a piece of foam core board on the down side as a floor.  Then put paper, foil, or more foam core board on the sides to make walls.  My plan is to use foil or mylar or some similar material on the walls that is visible from the outside of the box to make it look like a modern building with the foil or mylar as the window glass.  Inside the walls can be foam core board or as here just printed papers.  I am experimenting with several techniques.  In this way the boxes will act as a sort of doll house type building to allow three sides and the top to look like a nice building and the back will be open for wargame play.  I have four large boxes about the size of a photocopy paper case box and a lot of boxes about half that size. The large boxes I got in bright colors for use as super villain lairs, they often seem to enjoy the high visibility look.  The smaller ones will be for the secondary villains like Bookworm, or the Mad Hatter.  But I think at least Joker, Penguin, Cat Woman, King Tut and Riddler will get their own large box size lair.  The Bat Cave, however, will be something more unique and special.  These boxes can be stacked or placed side by side to make larger buildings, with big rooms.
