ZIS 3 AT Gun with Servants

I needed a couple WWII Soviet ATGs.

I could not find one at any hobby shop in the USA.

The only one in the whole world was in the UK.

So I got it off eBay.

It's by Italeri but labeled Waterloo 1815.

It's a nice gun.

You get two guns and two crews, I already got a few.

Trees

Spooky Halloween trees, and the pavement is from Michael's too, it's Christmas matting.

Perhaps a WWI game with spooky trees in No Mans Land?

Dense Russian forests in WWII might be WWWII spooky forests!

Perhaps a Wizard of Oz bad apple tree to throw apples at Dorothy?

Maybe some trees in the war torn forest just look frightening!

Bad Forest

Spooky trees!

Visit Michaels and Hobby Lobby at Halloween and Christmas, you never know what you might find.

Rat and owl in the small tree.

Shown here with an HO farmer.

Spooky trees can be used for haunted trees, possessed by demons trees, or just monster trees.

Dune Buggies and Drone

Visit your local Target, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart and fill up your modern and near future army with equipment.

This item is supposed to be a future aircraft.

Underside of open package.

The blades spin.

I am using it as an ultra-modern drone.

Modern troops guarding the drone.

James Bond dismounts from his dune buggy and opens fire.

The troops return fire.

Dune Buggies

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_Patrol_Vehicle

There are a variety of models similar to the DPV.

This is a Hot Wheels version.

It is more like a civilian version, but often these kinds of vehicles are modified by their crews or by their military service.

Shown here with Caesar Miniatures SAS figures.

Special Ops troops often carry non-standard equipment and use non-standard vehicles.

This version has two seats.

Shown here with the Hot Wheels version.

They work well together, the Hot Wheels version seems more common.

Dune Buggy

Dune buggy with Caesar Miniatures SAS troops.

I think the size is pretty good.

Stop the dune buggies.

Dismount and close the objective.

Three men per vehicle.

The elite of the elite, six men is a lot, when it's these men.

Dune Buggy

Matchbox dune buggy, Sahara Sweeper.

It's based on a real US Army vehicle.

It carries Special Forces troops in recon and other missions.

I don't have the size on the real vehicle, and I think this may be a bit big for 1/72nd scale, but I can live with it.

I like it and for a buck, it's hard to beat it.

Hinges and Stones

I removed the big chimney and added the brick stone to one half of the back.  The tower will go too and be reconfigured.

I think the bricks make very good stone walls.  I think it will be a good castle.

There is also a problem with the hinges, they don't exist!  I also put a strip of angle iron plastic at the corner to make the stone look neater.

Hinges will wait for more remodeling work.

Stone

My friend Richard, of War in 15mm, got me this playset at the swap meet for a few bucks, and I decided to turn it into DR Doom's castle.

I am closing up many of the holes and making a few other external alternations.

I am using G scale brick as stone, and covering the outside.

I had a couple pieces of brick in the spares box.

It covers up very well.
