Cadillic of Race Cars

High speed racing is not limited to those seeking a world land speed record.

This is a Cadillac of all things.

It is designed for Le Mans racing.

Not exactly what you think of as a Cadillac. 

But racing helps to test materials, concepts and designs that often make it into production cars.

The Bonneville Salt Flats is also used to test the speed of cars, that will not be contenders for the land speed record.

Underside of the model is pretty smooth, which is likely similar to the real one.

It has a very interesting look from the top.
