For about thirty years I have been nagging Paul Heiser to make this M4A1 (76) W Sherman tank with HVSS suspension.
He did make this one a long time ago but only for a short period of time and I never got any.
Paul has put them back in service and I have so far gotten a dozen of them, but I am hoping to get a full battalion of them, 54 tanks, three companies of 17 and 3 battalion HQ tanks.
The tracks are highly detailed, with a horizontal spring and outside roadwheels as separate parts.
The turret is very nice, I usually build the hatches glued closed.
This side view provides a good look at the curved cast hull, and all the hatches and roadwheels.
The plastic sprue comes with all the Paul Heiser Sherman tanks, it is a generic American armor sprue that has all kinds of very helpful bits. Trailer hitches, fuel cans, Sherman road wheel, lots of tools, and hooks, and machine guns. I have used these parts on many different models and find it a great addition to the kit.

That's an impressive kit.
It has even more detail than what I use, as a wargame kit certain small details like headlights only get broken off easily and only create work. So I leave them off an diorama builder would have a field day with this kit.
Thanks for reading.
