Back in olden times Airfix was known for their awesome box art. The Heller kits did not maintain that high standard.
The back of the box was blank. Cheap.
This British Paratrooper looks Italian. Nice 5 o'clock shadow.
This guy must be a British paratrooper from Hong Kong.
Nice drawing of an open parachute, too bad one does not come in the set!
I think this is a Sten MK V which was not developed for 1944.

The Mk V Sten was introduced in 1944. I've seen plenty of pics of 1st Airborne with them at Arnhem; not sure if the Poles had them, or if 6th Airborne had them for Normandy.Issue of them seems to vary between units - some had them, some didn't.
Thanks T!

The guy from Hong Kong must be a japanese infiltrator.
I always thought that the MkV sten did not appear until Market Garden, but 6th AB did have some that saw action in Normandy after all
Ducksinov, you may be right!
Deadhead I am always amazed how new information on WWII seems to still crop up from time to time.
Thanks for the comment.
