I had pen pals in Australia, Greece, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and the Soviet Union.
Most were in Czechoslovakia. I had three at one time.
Typically it would take two or three weeks for mail to go each way.
They would send me a list of what they wanted, mostly 1/72nd aircraft and 1/35th scale tanks.
I would send them a list of what I wanted.

Actually, Blogger generates the ads and they change constantly. I saw an ad about sandals.
