Racing French Manufacture but Italian Style

Bugatti Type 59 sports and racing car, made in France in the 1930's.
Look at the paint job on those little details and the control rod in silver is a separate piece.
Very nice interior, in real life the car was a two seater, but this version has an insert over the passenger side for better aerodynamics when racing.
Official Bugatti blue jacket.
Strangely this model is made in China.  Few Hot Wheels seem to be made there and I was surprised to see this one was made there.
1/72nd scale standing figure and a test fit of a 1/72nd scale seated figure, and he fit perfectly without any modifications!
Two figures and two cars.

Funny that q 1/72 scale figure fits so well, when the backing is labeled "Elite 64", suggesting that it should be 1/64 scale like many other diecast cars.
I think Majorette is also doing a vintage race car series now. They're probably closer to 1/64?

The figure is rather large for 1/72nd scale so I suspect it is the figure that is too big rather than the car is too small. It is made my some Chinese company that makes generic civilian figures and sells them in bulk. I use them a lot for both civilian and military purposes since they are super cheap. They are also styrene plastic so they can be cut and glued into new poses. They get head swaps a lot among themselves, hat to no hat, etc.
