Trucks and Bugs

Note the new wheels on this truck.

The spoked wheels have a rubber strip that runs around them that in real life is solid rubber.  Those kinds of wheels were even used on horse drawn trailers.

This is the old style wheel.

The pneumatic tire came in later and so I am doing these old time truck with both the solid rubber tire and the pneumatic tire.

The pneumatic tire will be for my 1938 army and the other style will be for my 1918 army, although the 1918 vehicles will be in National Guard or Reserve or Militia units for 1938.

Found this on my doorway when I went outside to spray paint.  About an inch and a half long.  We have weird and big bugs here in Kentucky.
