Caesar Panzergrenadiers II

Running soldier with machine pistol.

Standing rifleman. An excellent pose, he actually looks like he is firing the rifle.

Kneeling firing an assault rifle. This is an excellent figure, I really like the post. Caesar has done a great job with him.

Panzerschreck, an important weapon in the fight against Soviet t-34s. Very well done.

This guy is actually prone, throwing the stick grenade from a prone position is an upclose and personal close quarters combat. Caesar Miniatures 1/72nd scale soft plastic figures, Panzergrenadiers set. More photos soon.

These figures look like they are forming square against cavalry! Why do they insist on foisting these wooden Napoleonic poses on us every time? The US Army set is as bad. Standing up like that to fire your weapon is practically suicide on a modern battlefield, so unless your wargame or diorama troops are in houses, trenches or bunkers, they just look silly.

The prior blog figures
cool as in the (like Dragon 1/35 set)
But the German late war set has a similar figure with the Mp44.
And prone with a Grenade you can throw at least 24 - 36 inches give or take a foot (sick of theses prone grenade throwers.)

Don't shoot the messenger
anyhow good job with the phots and blog

Depends on what you are doing with the figures. Some wargamers base the figures on a tray of five or ten figures, so pose is of less concern.

I use a lot of bunkers, (Bunkermeister) houses, and trenchs. Not every figure in a set will be useful in every situation.

I am not a big fan of any prone figures, but in the two Caesar sets there are at least three grenade throwers, so one out of three prone is not so bad. I like having a choice.

yes, didn't say i wasn't going to buy them.
And that sir is a fact! (foghorn leghorn type drawl)

No, good now you are able to basically throw all your German figures in a pile and build platoons up via lucky dip, all the different poses give variety. Just some variety can be too much!!?

cheers Karcuss

Every Caesar Miniatures set is limited edition, limited production. They will keep putting out new figures to stay in business, the old figures will be gone, so we get a constant supply of new poses.
