In the background a few Roco T-34/76 tanks. They were used up until the end of World War Two, on my recent visit to Berlin they display two of them on plinths and claim they were the first to Soviet tanks into Berlin.

One of the things I've puzzled over is using 1/72 artillery and AT guns with 1/87 vehicles. Obviously, I'm using 1/72 figures with the vehicles, which doesn't bother me, but I worry about using the 1/72 guns and whether the scale different overwhelms the vehicles? I also worry whether they will look especially bad if I gradually get a few of the 1/87 guns from Roco. Can you mix the two scales of gun convincingly or do you need to choose a scale and stick with it?
The guns are close to the figures, so I think that 1/72nd scale guns look okay with the 1/72nd scale figures. There is almost no artillery or ATGs in 1/87th scale, so we don't have much choice anyway.
I try and use only 1/87 when it is reasonably available.
