Cute Nuclear Missile
The Honest John Rocket that we all know and love from the Roco kit. These nuclear capable missiles were used all over the world with US and Allied forces.
They were mounted on a very large truck and were not really suitable for airborne use.
So the Little John Rocket system was developed.
When visiting museums, try and take a close up of the plaque that explains the exhibit.
This tiny rocket could probably be made from a 1/144 scale Honest John Rocket for an HO scale trailer.
It gave US Airborne forces their own nuclear missiles.
In the 1950's and 1960's no army was complete without their own nuclear missiles.
This looks like another scratch building project for my Pentomic Army.

Dear Mike,
I'm told that the range of the Honest John is much longer if the crew remember to unlock the transit clamps and the launcher doesn't go cartwheeling down the range with the missile :O)
Kind regards, Chris.
That seems reasonable advice. Probably hard on the truck too.
