I can't help but wonder what kind of plastic army guys are popular with kids in China. I once read that most of Tamiya's products were bought in Japan, rather than overseas.
Yes, J & L I have the US and they are in line waiting their turn. Japan is one of the biggest hobby markets in the world, Europe is big too.
People who are intelligent, well educated, enjoy history, have money, and live were it snows are mostly likely to build models. They have the ability, the motivation, the means, and the time to build them.
