Inter War US Army

In the mid to late 1930's the US Army developed many new vehicles that did not see series production.

They experimented with tanks and armored cars and artillery that were the fore runners of those used in World War Two.

The infantry did not look different from the Great War, but the M-1 rifle was adopted years before for WWII started but it took a long time before they were fielded in great numbers.

Electrical mechanical computers were used for fire direction. Trucks like this provided electrical generation that was highly mobile.

Many techniques were used to provide mobile artillery support, both wheeled and tracked.

Very true. I love the military of the 1930s and 1950's. All sorts of odd stuff. Tankettes, flying jeeps, dune buggy type vehicles, it's all military odd goodness.
