The US Army practices constantly.
Trucks can be unreliable and so they have to constantly test trucks and make improvement.
Still, wheeled vehicles are more reliable than tracked vehicles.
Powerful trucks are needed to tow the massive guns in use by the modern army.
Other large cannons can be mounted on trucks directly and eliminate the trailer.
Figures by HaT and vehicles are vintage dimestore soldiers trucks, possibly by Barclay.
