Aero Pod

Painting my Aero Pods from Hot Wheels.

Using some rust color paint for the exhaust pipes.

My old standby, been painting with this paint for 40+ years love this color.

The seats will be this green.

Here is the interior insert.

The rusty exhaust pipes and the comfy green seats.

Almost time to put it back together.
 

Emily Again

About the only thing I paint when building a plane is the crew and interior.

Only when it's done to I paint the exterior.  I mass paint planes so they are painted in the same batch and the planes match colors better.  I think it makes them look more like a real squadron.

I also decal them at the same time so I can coordinate the markings between them.

UPC Emily Flying Boat.  I read that American pilots rated it the hardest Japanese plane to shoot down in WWII.

I have spent several weeks working on a giant WWII Japanese flying boat.

It's a great kit from UPC probably made 50 years ago.

I like the little extras like the aircraft tug, crewmen, and ground crew, two figures.

Instructions are easy to follow.

Plane is 1/72nd scale plastic.
 

Satellites

I like to buy Christmas ornaments and use them on the wargame table.

The nice thing about them is take them out of the package and you are done.  I got six of them at the Dollar Store.

Cute little thing.

Probably get a repaint and join the Adventure Team.

Roof mounted spotlight is a nice touch.

Ranger Bond

Back of the Jeepster.

The new painting system of Matchbox seems to only paint either the sides or the front and back with details.

Big roomy interior.

Nice undercarriage.

Jeepster

Matchbox Jeepster.

It seems like a pretty large vehicle.

But its a very well done model.

I like the US Forest Service green, I will likely whip up some decals for that.

I like the hubcaps too.
 

Troops vs Warbots

The little robots root out the troops.

The large one can then bring massive firepower to bear.

This little one is about to be destroyed by the grenade attack from above.

Keep firing.

The reconnaissance robots lined up.

A good find from Dollar Tree.

The other large robot is from years ago at a toy store from the Terminator movie.
 

Up Close

Troops are in an L shape ambush position.

They have the height advantage over the enemy.

Fighting in the rubble.

Wheeled vehicle with a heavy gun.

Being in the rubble limits mobility.

But also provides cover because you gotta get close to kill the warbots.
