M3A1 Halftrack
US Army World War Two halftrack.
Roco M3A1 halftrack.
The base below the machine gun is the main difference between the -A1 and the regular M3.
Take the MG ring off and mount it on a pedestal and you essentially have a M3.
The cargo racks on the side are too deep, they should be much smaller and were used to hold land mines, not backpacks. The US manufactured so many of these they stopped halftrack production about a year before the war ended.
Very detailed underside of the model. These came out in about 1973 and cost about $1.75 cents. That was a lot of money for a Roco in those days. They were the most highly detailed Roco up to that time with a lot of little parts.
Roco kind of cheated on this model, they included the mount for the 81mm mortar carrier in the personnel carrier version by making the same rear end for the M3A1 and the M21 mortar carrier. A great model and you can't have too many of them.
