Corbitt Truck
Roco Minitanks Corbitt truck.
These trucks were used by the US Army in World War Two. Post war they were widely exported.
They were a short bed 6 ton truck.
They were mostly used to tow artillery.
The short bed was designed to avoid overloading with heavy artillery shells. Soldiers will often fill the truck bed rather then worry about the actual load capacity of the truck. Short bed makes overloading less likely.
This is a very old /Roco model, note the crooked front wheel!
It's a great looking truck and my collection is full of them.
