Drone
BMC troops in the snow.
Prepare to confront the Galaxy Laser Team!
Tracks of an armored car.
The armored car slides sideways in the snow and ice.
Despite the bright sun it's a cold day.
Still the troops push ahead.
Up the frozen hillside.
While the Galaxy Laser Team does the same, hidden by the intervening mountain.
As they arrive at their downed drone.

Tim Mee Armored Car
The churned up snow almost looks like the foam in the surf, the men with their guns above their heads add to the illusion!
What's that over the hill?
It's almost in sight.
The troops brought an armored car for support.

Nothing but Snow
The troops have been sent out in the snow to find out what happened to a radar blip.
It's really cold to go out just for a blip.
No one but the Army would be foolish enough to send someone out on a day like this.
In such a barren and lifeless place.
With nothing but snow....

Drone Recovery
The Galaxy Laser Team moves through the snow to the fallen drone.
Mobile computer terminals and ground drones aid in the search.
Half buried in the snow, the wisdom of the orange coloration is apparent.
At last they draw close.
The ground drones are very excited.
Lobster turtle is as inscrutable as always.
The spacemen check for radiation.

Galaxy Laser Team
Galaxy Laser Team is a versatile set.
It's not designed from any major science fiction franchise so the figures don't have the baggage of being the good guy, or the monster, or the one that can fly.
Yet they are similar to characters from several TV shows and movies so they have a familiar look to them.
I also like that several of them can be used for multiple scales.
I have used the square robot for 60mm, 54mm, and also 1/87 and 1/72nd scales.
Lobster Turtle also works for a variety of scales.
The two rather generic astronauts work as nearly anyone in a space suit, but I usually use them as people who can't breath regular Earth air. I had these figures when they first came out decades ago, but they disappeared. I have since gotten them from Victory Buy, in several color combinations. https://victorybuy.com/collections/tim-mee-toys/products/jl-timmee-galaxy-red-orange

Snow
This is only about the fifth time in my life I have ever even seen snow close up.
I could not pass up the opportunity to get out and play in it a little.
My MPC stuff I was photographing at about 1 am.
The front of our apartment building has more lights than a prison, so it looked like daylight.
These figures are outside in daylight, it's in the 20's F.
The space is only about six by twelve feet in size but it makes a nice snow terrain area.

Snow Lobster
The Galaxy Laser Team, in orange for safety. https://victorybuy.com/collections/tim-mee-toys/products/jl-timmee-galaxy-red-orange
They have to recover the downed drone.
The snow is deep and going is slow.
Some members are dressed warm, with a cape, environmental suit, or even fur!
Not the ideal operation for a Lobster Turtle!

Snow
After my recent move to Kentucky, long term residents tell me this is the worst winter in perhaps decades. We are staying in an apartment until we have a house ready for us. The vast majority of the collection is in climate controlled secure storage.
We got a couple inches of snow, followed by a couple inches of snow.
They did a great job of shoveling the walks and driveway.
It got down to 1 degree F.
So we just spent four full days in the house.

Snow Monster
Many of the men are heavily armed, but they are reluctant to kill a rather rare specimen.
The man in the exo-skeleton darts ahead and using his super human strength knocks the snow monster down!
Frightened by the unexpected power of the attack, the snow monster beats a hasty retreat.
The men return to their original mission.
The satellite is loaded on board the cargo carrier.
And the vehicles return to base as the snow monster vanishes into the white.
