It takes a lot of men and equipment to mount an expedition of this magnatude.
All supplies have to be brought to the scene, with plenty of spares.
You can't just run to the store and pick up a roll of tape or a box of breakfast cereal.
And men and machines have to function in extreme cold.
Some days you have a high temperature of minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
At those temperatures metal can become brittle and even motor oil can freeze.

That's Phil, it was the middle of the night under big lights. I wanted to take photos before people in my apartment got up to go to work. It's a good thing I did, some guy was hired to shovel the snow and showed up just after I picked it all up!
