Dollar Tree Town.
A generic small town that could exist anywhere there are Europeans or Americans for the last 250 years.
A peaceful sleepy little town that could be anywhere.
A few friendly people wave at one another.
The pastor stands in front of his church.
As the Panzer IVs drive past.
A few years later and the US Army 2 1/2 ton trucks drive past in the other direction.
Just like 1918 when the Americans were here before with their artillery.

Nice little town.
Thank you. It is generic enough to work for at lease 250 years almost anywhere Americans or Europeans have been. Add a wood fired steam train for 1850, a diesel electric for 1950 and you set the stage for the date. Print off some Chinese language signage and you are in China in 1899, or Vietnamese and you are in South Vietnam in 1969.
Thanks for commenting Rob.
