Strelets 8 Inch MK VII Howitzer
Strelets-R inch Mk VII Howitzer kit assembled, 1/72nd scale.
I found the axles to be very weak, and so I glued the model to a group of "planks" taken from an HO scale flat car.
The rubber treads on the wheel are hard to glue down, I used GOO rubber contact cement. It did not work well. Eventually I used Krazy Glue and it worked much better attaching the rubber to the wheel.
The model is rather soft on detail and the parts don't have a very positive fit. Careful sanding and preparation of these parts is essential.
Overall it makes a good model, since it is for the WWI era it looks rather crude and I think that works.
