A few years ago I upgraded all of mine by adding a front bumper and a rear spare tire.
These are often cheap on the used market and I managed to get enough in bad shape to cannibalize for spare tires for all of mine.
I recently painted the bumpers when I was painting the Panzer III that was missing the hatch.
Here is a close up of the spare tire and a couple 1/72nd scale metal bike riders for size.
Despite being about 50 years old this is still a pretty good model when painted up and given a little extra detail.
