Each embassy gets a flag.
They get the ambassador, and usually a wife for him.
They all get a musical instrument, in this case a piano. They also get a pet or two, dogs here.
Almost every single figure is a conversion from another figure.
I tried to give each embassy some national flavor, in this case, Norway gets a girl with skis.
Each embassy also gets a small group of troops for protection, communications, or in the case of those nations at war with the Soviet Union, combat.

Fascinating project! I only wish I could see it in real life.
It is much farther along than the photos show. It has been interesting.
