In real life this was probably a very cool fossil, it's dinosaur skin. As a toy it looks like dried dirt.
This one is very cool. Two fossil crabs. I actually have some toy crabs this size so they make good monster crab fossils.
Giant fish fossil. This is the kind of fossil that looks really good with the army men.
A couple 1/72nd scale figures with a frog fossil. A really neat addition to a dig, or a museum game. Cost works out to less than $1.50 each, compared to a lead or resin model that's really cheap.
