More Strelets British Cavalry

The Strelets WWI British Cavalry.

Not a bad set, several will pass as officers.

They have good surface detail.

There are twelve in the set, the little unicorn horn is for the gas mask for the horse which comes as a separate piece. I don't intend to put that one, it's such a tiny bit and the soft plastic does not hold glue well so it's not worth the trouble.

I like the set, they will mix well with the late war British Cavalry Strelets makes.

British Horse Cavalry

As part of my Strelets WWI purchases I got some of their British Cavalry.

They are similar to American horse cavalry up to about the begining of the Second World War.

Americans also manufactured and used British Army equipment.

The figures were flash free, 1/72nd scale soft plastic. They fit the horses well. Only one guy with his sword drawn.

Brewer Show

I went to the Brewer Kit Show today. They had dachshund races there also.

They also had a VW Bug show too.

But the big show was the models, and books and GI Joes.

There were dozens of tables.

There was even a nice wargame demonstration using BattleBook wargame rules. They are designed to be used for land, sea and air. Interesting concept.

Stormtroops

The Caesar troops are a bit thinner than the Strelets 1/72nd scale plastic figures.

When mixed together the figures look fine in a combat scene.

The Caesar have perfect little bases and if they were more like the Strelets the figures would match up better.

Some of the Caesar figures have a gas mask, the Strelets gas mask figures are a separate set.
