Americans versus Robots!
Take away the Japanese and now you have more alternate history and science fiction.
Airfix World War One Americans, so the invasion of Robots could have happened anytime between about 1917 and 1942.
The US uniform, equipment and and headgear did not change much.
Pulp novels and comic books were full of adventure stories with robots in them from the Interwar period until now.

Same terrain, the US troops are the same and yet, by adding Robots we have three scenarios.
