Pontoon Bridge

I purchased a few Imex Conestoga Wagon sets in order to get the horses and wagon wheels for some WWII projects I am working on.  I was left with a lot of wagon boxes.  So I decided to make bridge pontoons out of them.

Here are my wagon boxes laid out ready for sheet styrene planking.  Evergreen Plastics provides the sheet plastic for the roadway and the rod plastic for the edging.

I used plastic with a wooden planking pattern.

Bits of rod plastic cut for verticals.

Square rod cut for the edges.  I make a master part and label it as SAMPLE.

Sample planking.
