Just Scraping By
Driving by a local construction site recently and I saw two forest green pieces of construction equipment.
The are surplus US Army scrapers.
Still in their original colors, but with their bumper numbers painted over.
I think this is the first time I have seen scrapers in real life that were Army vehicles.
But I have seen them in pictures.
They were in great shape.
It was a weekend so they were not doing any work.
And I was able to get good photos.
They both had different numbers on their buckets.
There have been a couple of these made in HO over the years.
So now we know to paint them green.
I did get a couple data plate photos, without touching anything!
Former bumper number.
Another data plate.
