Santa and Teddy Bears

Santa Sleigh.
I managed to find a craft company that sells craft stuff, and got a bag full of little Santa sleighs.
Probably more than Santa actually needs, but on the other hand maybe he keeps a few spares in case of trouble.
Ykreol Santa and sleighs.
With his big bag.
Obviously the sleigh needs a repaint.
Factory Direct Crafts are the craft guys.
They sell teddy bears too.
About 1/2 inch tall.
Pretty cute I think

Panzer IV Bradley Puma

View from the back.  This is just sitting together as a mock up.
The tracks fit perfectly and the turret is pretty good.  The Bradley gun is not bad, and it's molded onto the base of the turret so I am reluctant to remove it, but we shall see.
What do to with the Panzer IV without tracks or a turret?
They fit perfectly on the old Panzer IV hull, and the Puma Turret fits perfectly too.
This one is in tough shape but this is just a mock up.  The Bradley hull and turret are soaking in paint remover.  I am still short a few parts so it may be a while before the project is completed.

1946 IFV

Matchbox made a very small Bradly, IFV.
I picked up a few at the store, because why not?
I drilled them out and took them apart.
So they looked like this.
The turret was two pieces and came right apart.
Put back together with Roco (old) Panzer IV tracks and turret.  Maybe it will be a nice infantry carrier for the Germans in 1946.

Strelets Infantry from Someone Other than Strelets

Zvezda Russian Strelets Infantry 1/72nd scale set 8040.

For years I have wanted to do a Wizard of Oz set up, once I read about a few guys who were wargaming Oz.  So I figured I needed Wicked Witch of the West guards and maybe other armies.
In the movie, the Wizard of Oz, Emerald City and Munchkin Land both have small armies.  So perhaps the Good Witch of the North needs an army also.  So my plan is to make a Santa Claus North Pole with elves, workshops and an Army of the North.  These guys look very much like a traditional Santa Claus from the Victorian Era.  Given that the book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was written in 1900 that seems a good look for his army.  I thought is that Glenda is the Witch of the North but that Santa is the sovereign.

So these will be my Santa's Army.  I will use the Strelets - Strelets figures as the guard for the Wicked Witch of the West.  They describe themselves as "free" when she is killed in the movie.  So perhaps they are captured Santa's Army soldiers acting under an evil spell.  Anyway, each army will only be about a platoon or so.

Next I need to find some maybe 15mm Napoleonic (British perhaps) as the Munchkin Army in 1/72nd scale.  Any suggestions leave them in the comments.  Remember I am looking for inexpensive and easy to paint.

B17

My friend Chris was going through some of his stuff and found these two pencil sharpeners, a Sherman tank and a B17.
Two of the props on the B17 were broken.
So I whipped out the sheet styrene.
And carved up a few new ones.
And glued them on.
My plan is to use this as a 1/72nd scale Luftwaffe training aid.
So I will paint it up and add small decals to it.
And park it on the edge of some Luftwaffe facility.  Airfix Civilian for size.

Wheels

Baby carriages for war.
Look for usable parts everywhere.
Look at those wheels.
I keep an eye out for bits and pieces because sometimes at the dollar store something interesting pops up.
I think some of my old time cars will have these wheels.
Maybe even this body and wheels.
Or perhaps the canopy.

New and Old

Big Bird.
This one is easy.
This one is hard.
Dodge ball, with dinosaur.
The whole pack.
Comparison with existing dinosaurs from the Cretaceous period.
Interesting relationships in size and bulk.
More action in the new stuff.
Significant upgrade on the flying creature.

Shell vs Dinosaurs

The 1/72nd scale Shell tribe is having problems with dinosaurs today.
Sometimes a big rock can solve a lot of problems.
But not every problem.
I will see your rock and raise you another.
This one is easier.
This one is hard.
This one is armored!
And jumpy!
