Rover II
Time to spray paint the Mars rover for it's new job.
Paint it gray primer.
The model is both metal and plastic and the plastic is both soft black plastic and clear hard plastic. It's a good idea to prime paint models that are various colors, textures and materials before painting them a new color. The new color will then only have to cover the primer paint and you will achieve a smoother look.
Now I am also painting a few M26 Pershings as well.
Pershings are soft metal kits in 1/87 scale.
Getting the paint into the nooks and crannies can take several passes.
Still, it's worth the time and effort to use a light mist and go over and over again.
I carefully inspect every part in good lighting prior to moving on to another color.
