Christmas Town

Taking photos from a high angle can minimize the importance of the background.

Make sure you have plenty of light.  These are taken outdoors, in the shade, so the shadows are minimal.

A low enough view to give some depth, but close up enough to show detail.

A farther field of view to show some real background; the grass looks very natural.

The inclusion of figures gives greater scale to the scene.
