This is some of the ground cover I used. It is fake flowers.
Splash on the green tempura paint. A bead of white glue along the base for the ground cover.
A bead of white glue in the corner for some flowers next to the porch.
The green on the roof looks like moss, or ivy.
Many of the buildings have large holes in the back for the electrical cord to pass through in lighted versions. I printed out a circular stained glass window, covered it with clear plastic and glued it inside the hole as a window.
