Tigers

I have been working on the Tiger collection.  This is a Tiger made by Tomy.  They were made a long time ago.  They are sturdy, plastic and metal.  They were sold as kits and came with five figures, copies of Airfix 1/32nd figures.  The tracks were rubber, and disintegrated after a few years.

I am repairing, upgrading and primer painting my Tiger collection if they are not already painted.  Shown here are Roco, Trident, ArsenalM models.  Note one of the swimmwagens has a replacement white resin propeller.  Little bits like that often get lost over the years.  Some of these kits are 30 to 50 years old.

This kit is plastic, resin and etched brass.  It is the driver training version of the Tiger 1.  It used compressed gas for fuel.  It was not as powerful a fuel as gasoline but it was available.

Trident 150mm howitzer on the Panther chassis.

Old Roco Tiger 1.  Note the replacement turret hatch.  Very common in these old models.

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/combatstormwargames/info Combat Storm is a simple game there is a Yahoo group to support it. http://strategywave.com/

Flames of War is a very common game too. http://www.flamesofwar.com/ Flames of War is designed for 15mm figures but will work with larger vehicles. It is a more complex game.

http://www.thortrains.net/armymen/sandygme.htm Thor also makes some easy free games. Of course you can always write your own.
