Flying
Mount wire mesh on your ceiling and fly airplanes over your wargame table.
This mesh is the kind used to reinforce concrete driveways.
Use a TV antenna to hold the airplane so it can fly at different altitudes.
My friend Randy of Fidelis Models has worked out a portable one. He uses and old EZ-UP frame and rather than the canvas, he puts up a plastic mesh to hold the planes. Bunkermeister

It looks better than having a large wooden block on the table and reduces table clutter.

that's one great idea, I hate having planes on the table when the stand conflicts with large terrain
