In the old Mars Attacks trading cards the Martians used bugs as weapons.
The Mars Attacks comic books did that also.
They grew Earth bugs to gigantic sizes.
Then turned them loose on humans.
Sometimes they were arrayed in massive armies.
Great walls of bugs attacking a human town or military position.
