Killer Croc is Finished

I added paint to the fingernails, toenails, and eyes and teeth.

I think the claws really make the model.

It works well for me.

Killer Croc Figure

This is the Battle Dice figure of The Thing from the Fantastic Four.

Battle Dice was a short lived game from 2006.

The Thing will be the basis for my Killer Croc figure.

I put a new head on him.

This figure of Greedo from Star Wars furnished the head.

I think the head looks more like a crocodile head than the one typically drawn on the comic.

I have repainted him green.

I think the conversion is acceptable.
 

Dewoitine 520 Iron Ace Airplane

Here is my Iron Ace single seat fighter plane, painted in the same metallic blue with gold wash as the Iron Ace himself.

In the comic the Iron Ace I don't think they specifically mention what kind of plane he uses.

But since the guy who gives him the plane is French and in France, a French plane seemed a good choice.

Since Iron Ace is British and by this time France had fallen to the Germans a plane in French markings seemed like a bad idea.

So I put British decals on it.

I don't normally do RAF planes but some of my USAAF plane models had RAF decal markings included in the model so here you go.

I always do my planes with wheels down so they can sit on a runway.
 

Wonder Woman

Two statues stand guard over an ancient temple.

Wonder Woman on Paradise Island.

The invisible plane.

Two automobiles for Wonder Woman to use also.

Plenty of transportation available.
 

Shark Car

Shark Bite Hot Wheels car.

It's an odd little car.

The legal stuff.

It is some kind of chase car.

It looks like a shark with big wheels.

I am not sure what to do with it, but I suspect either as a show car or maybe a super hero or super villain.-

The jaw opens and closes.

It's a cute custom vehicle.

But likely impractical car for a daily driver.

It has a nice profile I think.

Skrull APC

Testors model putty, an old standby that I have used for decades.

This is an toy from the Disney movie Atlantis.  I broke off the whale tale and now use it as a ground vehicle instead of a submarine.

Filled the hole with the Testors Putty, and I repainted the whole thing magenta from Rust-Oleum.  I also made a little hatch for the rear.

I will use it with my Scrull Army.  They are a Fantastic Four enemy that rules a large space empire.  Years ago I purchased a whole bunch of cheapo Hero Clix figures from the bargain bin at several comic shops.  I get every Scrull figure and anyone else with pointy ears or a similar color palate.  

 Then they got pulled off their Hero Clix bases and put on small rectangular bases.  I did various touch up or repaints on them and eneded up with over 100 figures.  Not a big army, but at 28mm they dwarf a tall 1/72nd scale figure.  This is their APC now.

Knights and Iron Ace

There is a forgotten comic book character called Iron Ace.  A WWII British RAF pilot who takes on the armor of Charlemagne to fight invaders.  One of many enemies he fights is a giant Nazi robot called Black Mail.

Noted Toy Soldier Enthusiast Billy Hill sent me some magnificent Armored Knights when I asked him about what would work for Black Mail.  Thank you Billy Hill for your kind gift.  They are very action packed figures, molded in plastic.

I painted one of each pose in turquoise and the other in magenta.  Then a couple go overs with the black wash to bring out more detail and look like the knight in the comic.

Not sure what I will do with all these figures, but I suspect maybe Black Mail will be one of many enemy robot soldiers, or perhaps the Allies developed their own in a different color.  Or maybe use these as stand alone figures against dragons or something.

One guy was missing his sword so I gave him a hammer.

Most of my super hero figures get a black base that is a triangle, quadrilateral, or hexagon.

I think these are very nice figures.

The 1/72nd scale figure here is a Caesar Miniatures European Knight figure, with a head swap to a closed helmet.  He has been painted metallic blue.  Since this photo Iron Ace got a gold wash and looks even better.  All of the large knight figures got the dip into an acrylic floor wax to make them shine and to make their paint jobs more durable. It seemed to work very well, it's the first time I have used it.  It's a product called Quick Shine.
