SDV and Batman?

I am often working on more than one project at a time.  Sometimes a project gets delayed due a lack of materials, don't have the right glue or the color of paint I want.  Or sometimes I need more research, or maybe I am just waiting for the glue to dry.  Here while working on my SDV model, I am also working on a Batman related project.  I gathered a few hats and figures to use for the Mad Hatter and perhaps Clock King.  Two Batman 66 villains.  You can see a test fit for one of the hats in the photo.  I am also collecting hats for use on Mad Hatter Henchmen or perhaps for display in his lair.

These are the instructions in the SDV kit.  They are adequate, better than some of the SDV instructions.
The models themselves are not too difficult but the do require a lot of study of the instructions to insure correct parts placement.  I always test fit pieces to insure they go the right way.  You can see progress has been made on the hull and suspension.  I was waiting for all the little wheels to dry before continuing work on the project.
Here is the exploded view of the crane arm.  I remove the parts from the sprue, trim the flash and them place them on my workspace in the same relative position as they are in the instructions.
I find it very helpful to visualize where the parts all go.  Sometimes I do this on a piece of paper and even label the paper with each part number.  Then parts get test fitted and then slowly glued together.  After I glue two parts together and they are good enough to handle, I test fit the next pieces before it is too late to make any changes!

Batman vs Joker

Batman Tumbler versus Joker Mobile Monster Trucks.
For some reason there are a lot of Monster Truck Hot Wheels and many of them are Batman related.
Just as The Joker has tried to take over surfing, and maybe drag racing, he could go after Monster Truck fans.
So a Tumbler with a Joker car makes some sense.
The paint job is pretty well done for a crazy Joker character.
From a distance it could be almost anyone.
Nice front end.

Batmobile Drag Racer

This is the Batman Hot Rod.
It has come in several color schemes and materials.
I think it is a Hot Wheels original and not connected to any specific movie, TV show, cartoon, or animated series, but I am not certain.
Just as Joker tried to take over the surfing culture and Batman had to intervene, I think it reasonable to thing that Joker or some other Villain might try to influence the drag racing world.
So this is a good vehicle for Batman to use to stop that from happening.  I like the bat motif on the front axle between the wheels.
The cowl cockpit and stylized cape are pretty cool too I think.
Gold rear end jet engine.

Little Car

Instant Boost from Hot Wheels.
A little race car.
Shown here with Batman in 1/72 nd scale.
The head of the driver is huge so this is supposed to be a sort of go-cart and a driver of about 1/48th scale.
The engine is very cool.
Interesting clear parts.
Bottom is pretty plain.
Not sure what I will do with this figure but we shall see.

Mr. Freeze and Ice Crystals

Batman and Robin and Mr. Freeze.
Mr. Freeze with two henchmen and two cars!
The two seater Mr. Freeze mobile.
It's a powerful and fast machine.
Mr. Freeze and his single seat car, and giant ice crystals in the background.
What was beachfront property only a few minutes ago, is now the Arctic!
With ice crystals everywhere.
Holy, white Christmas!

Killer Croc Van

Hot Wheels van for Killer Croc.
It came in a 5 pack with a group of Batman related vehicles.
I don't really do much with Killer Croc but now that I have ended up with two different vehicles from him I decided I should make a figure for him.
It's a nice looking van.
Probably be worth happening even for a repaint.
The graphics are nice.
And the underside is okay.
Here he is with Batman.

Cat Car

Hot Wheels Blvd. Brusier, as part of their 2026 Batman collection 5 pack.
It has an excellent paint job as a Catwoman car.
This car has been around since 2011 and has a spare tire molded in the back that is not the same wheel as is on the car.
This is one way that Hot Wheels can recycle an old car into something new.
Since I have three Catwoman figures, having an additional Catwoman car is a good idea.
It is a good looking car, sort of a Camero or Firebird in style.
Batman vs Catwoman!
