Aviation Museum

MRS Bunkermeister and I visited the Bowling Green, KY, Aviation Heritage Park recently.

Each aircraft is of a type that was used by a local Kentucky member of the US Armed Forces, like this UH-1B Huey helicopter from the Vietnam War.

This T33 is a training jet used by the USAF during the Cold War.

The F4 Phantom II used by the Air Force in Vietnam.  The color scheme is the southeast Asia camouflage.

US Navy Panther jet, GI Joe got a jet of this type, but I never had one.

F111 Aardvark bomber also in Vietnam War colors.  Local places often have museums about local events or local people.  These aircraft look like they could taxi out and fly away.  I am sure they are just hollow shells but they are kept in great looking condition.  They are close to breaking ground on a building to house more artifacts.

The wheeled human XM311 is much faster and heavier than the Galaxy Laser Team, Blue robot.

At 40 miles per hour, he smashes the walker into the air!

Holding fire until now, the machine guns and their support team of snipers open fire on the Galaxy Laser Team, Blue.

The second XM311 KO's another robot!

The Galaxy Laser Team, Blue is stunned with shock for only a moment, 

but that's long enough for the snipers and long range machine guns to take them out of the fight.

The humans and their new XM311 robots have won a great victory this day!

Maintenance

Complete the maintenance log, job's not done if the paperwork is not finished.

Refuel the vehicles, modern armies require fuel.

Safety while refueling.

Tool box for tools to fix broken vehicles.

Top off the tanks.

Everyone is busy, going in different directions.

Plenty to do, check the tires, add fuel, replenish ammunition.

The new Tim Mee U.S. Air Force figures go great with the Tim Mee vehicles.

I love military parades.

In high school, and college I was in a few.

Later, in the Army Reserve I was in more.

It was great.  

The new Tim Mee U.S. Air Force figures sound the bugle!

USAF

The newly issued Tim Mee U.S. Air Force figures will work for a long time period and many air forces.

They are as good as the original figures in khaki and blue.

They have all the detail and only minimal flash.

Many air forces were equipped with American equipment and many kept it in service for decades.  As USAF these troops will work from about 1940 to about 1960

The new tan color works well with the tan armored car, Jeep and cannon, and tan infantry.

Only the missile loader, binoculars observer and the seated figure are not included in the new sets.

These guys come in a plastic bag with 13 green and 13 tan troops.

These khaki figures are next to the new green figures and they are just the same.

Tim Mee U.S. Air Force

Old toy soldier molds sitting in a warehouse are not making anyone any money.

Tim Mee has realized this and once again have released old soldiers.

These are the recast Tim Mee U.S. Air Force set.  The brown guy is 40+ years old.  The tan and green figures are brand spanking new!

They are just the same as they were decades ago.
