Clarence and the Cave Men

A while back I saw some of these guys on eBay.

They are cave men and kinda small, and I had never seen them before so I did not buy them.

Now I got a few of them from Clarence, I like them and will have to start looking for more of them.

He sent me two with axes and one with fire. I have no idea who makes them.

Here with a Marx tree, keep the fire away from the tree please.

Thank You Clarence

My friend Clarence is doing some restructuring of his collection and has gifted me with a few surplus items.

This blue dinosaur is one of them.  I like dinosaurs.

I never understood why the Brontosaurus was always posed looking back by so many companies.

Still, this is an interesting specimen.

Sleeping.

This one needed a little sanding on one foot so he would stand up, but he's all better now.

They enjoy an opportunity to snack on an old Marx trees.

Horsemen

Outside the command bunker looking in!

About a decade ago I got some Tumbling Dice figures.

They are 1/72nd scale armored knights.

Most of the mounted ones are mounted crossbow men, and the infantry are carrying gunns or crossbows.

Man with armored horse and lance.  Everything has been painted with gray primer so they came out looking this weird blue color.

Man with raised sword.  The camera would not focus well either, don't know what was going on, but it was some strange interaction between the color of the figures, the background and the ambient light.

Maultier Trucks

Getting some primer painting done.  These are by Heiser Models in HO scale.

They are WWII German unarmored halftracks.  In the mud of the Eastern Front these could be more valuable than a Tiger tank.  They could go where regular trucks could not go.

These are all resin models and only a few parts.  Heiser models are pretty sturdy and I have a bunch of them.

Minnie Mobile

Hot Wheels Disney collection.

I got three of them, that's enough.

The Minnie Mobile.

With Roger Rabbit.

Nice rear end!

At first glance they look like the same car, but with a big bow.

But in close inspection, they are totally different.  But both pretty cool.

Mickey Mobile

Part of my collection includes "American City" which includes a mouse related amusement park.

Hot Wheels makes a new Disney related series of cars.

This one is a Mickey Mouse car, with Peter Pan and one of the Seven Dwarfs.

Headlights that look like eyes.

Nice rear license plates.

Coelacanth and Pterodactyl

Pterodactyl were pretty common as late as 1864 in the Southern States.

Union solders often shot them and sometimes posed with the bodies for photos.

Coelacanth was a staple of the diet for Pterodactyl.

The coelacanth model was included in the set with the Pterodactyl.

Coelacanth was a staple for U-Boat crews in World War Two operating off the coast of Southern Africa.

A five foot fish provides a lot of filets.

Pterodactyl

Tomy makes a series of dinosaurs.

This flying reptile is the only one I have seen.

It was on sale at Tuesday Morning.

Shown here on a hilltop.

He has hinges on this jaw and wings.

Armored Tank Dinosaur

The ancient Lybians used to have to fight dinosaur skeletons.

They were evil monsters who were animated by evil shamans.

They came in some pretty big sizes.

You feel pretty small fighting giants with only a pointy stick.

And an armored monster is like fighting a tank with a bow an arrow.

Dangerous work.
