The final lay out for the Kiss Kiss Club.I still have to print and paste posters, glue the band name onto plastic so it will be legible, and put pins in the fences so they stay put.I also need to make dancing partners for the dance floor. Henchmen and Moll for Largo to chase Mr. Bond with. And the final painting of the ground cover. But I am getting close. The ground cover paint takes a full day to dry between coats and it will take three, probably. I have not even started on the dancers, henchmen, moll, or even Mr. Bond.

Bits and Pieces
Johnny Lightening and Hot Wheels from my Horror Collection. Halloween is approaching so it is time to start looking for horror stuff. I did find a few mummy figures at Dollar General, small 54mm size.My Roco upgrade project has picked up steam as the Kiss Kiss Club project has been winding down. Here I am painting wheels, windshields, and tires and seats and tarps on some trucks. The Roco 37mm anti-tank gun is getting put back together and about 2/3rds are getting mounted on bases.Kiss Kiss Club with all the major parts put together. The base will be replaced with a slightly larger one, there will be more palm trees and foliage, and maybe a few dancing people.Dance floor with the dancing girl doing her fire walking routine. Hot coals ready for the fire walking. Actually a pile of sand. I placed a washer over a bit of styrene plastic and poured sand into the hole. Then dropped very liquid super glue onto the sand as I removed the washer. Then I painted the sand using red, orange, and yellow transparent colors by Tamiya.

Kiss Kiss Bar
I got this little building from Dollar Tree a couple years ago.The poster was done by my daughter, a professional artist.I used a marker pen to make this sign. Here are some bar seats, lego pins cut off the bricks and with a little bit of plastic in between.A lady in a gold dress and a drunk in a hat at the bar. Male and female bar tenders.Much of the interior of the bar is a picture printed out and glued inside.

Dance Floor
This blue and white marble looking thing is a bit of plastic with glue on the back designed to be used as a wall covering, sort of a peel and stick wallpaper. This little bit of acrylic plastic sheet, like the wall paper is from Dollar Tree. This plastic is tile from Evergreen Plastic. I cut the acrylic rectangle into a square the size of the outer edge of the white tile. Then I cut a square of wall paper the size of the white plastic, using the outer edge of the plastic as a straight edge.Next, I cut out the inside of the blue wallpaper using the white plastic as a straight edge guide for my X-Acto knife.
Then the square of acrylic got painted a glossy red.

Overhead view showing the edge of the dance floor. Paint is on the underside of the clear dance floor to make it look very glossy.

Ladies and Gents
Kiss Kiss Club LADIES and GENTS room doors. As they were in the movie, but the movie version had a large Kiss Kiss poster in the middle. So I am going to have to move the signs to the doors, since the poster won't fit now. I like the signage on the door better anyway. I have scaled down some of the parts of the club so it's not too large on the game table.I glued the restroom signs down with super glue. Now I am using 5 minute quick-cure epoxy glue to glue down the palm trees that hold the Kiss Kiss sign.Mix 50/50 and stir it up, I use a Popsicle stick, or sometimes a BBQ skewer. Test fitting the ticket booth, palm tree and front entrance on the concrete pad for the Kiss Kiss club.

Entrance
The sign is finished! The ticket booth is nearly done.Ticket booth fully staffed.Restrooms in pink, nearly done. And the entrance itself is done. The base will be painted concrete color later.Overview.I also considered Contact paper in sand design. Not bad, but no, not for the entrance anyway.Close up of the sign and entrance and another view of the Contact paper.

Signage
I am using some Tim Mee plam trees to hold up the Kiss Kiss Club sign. The real sign has little lights on it.So I got some gold and red "jewels" to add to the sign. The sign letters are plastic, painted red, orange, red for the Kiss Kiss Club. The jewels are glued to a clear plastic sheet. I don't know what they are used for in real life. My wife suggested maybe finger nail decorations. So using tweezers I peel off one jewels at a time and glue it onto the letter.I used these tools to drill the holes in the palm tree trunks to support the sign brackets. Two holes on each palm tree trunk near the top and about an inch down from there. Line up the sign brackets, and mark the location where the hole needs to be with a marker. Then using a awl, push a pilot hole into the location. Then drill a small hole, and a medium hole. The black bits are the supports for the letters and get pushed into the palm tree trunks to hold up the signage. In this photo the sign is being supported by extra brackets, the white plastic, while I add the jewels that simulate lights. You can see the jewels lined up in place near the upper right of the photo. The word CLUB has already had the jewels applied. Orange jewels over red paint, and the last S also has red jewels over orange paint.A still from the James Bond movie Thunderball, showing the Kiss Kiss Club sign and my version below. Some additional palms I am working on.

Entrance
Entrance to the Kiss Kiss Club. Two ticket sellers and another staff member.Where is everyone? They are only 1/2 people because the booth is not hollow.I glued a very thin piece of plastic to the bottom of a bit of Popsicle stick, painted it black and glued two 1/2 figures to the plastic. When slid into place it gives the illusion of two figures standing behind the counter in an open area, because it is black, and recessed. See the top photo again for a demonstration of how good it works.
