More Robots

Col Jim, ret. paused while he planned his redeployment.
Run like mad across the open road to the other side.
As quickly as old, retired legs would carry him.
As he still carried the Greener.
A quick look down the road and there are still more robots coming!

More Robots

Despite his shot from the massive Greener, Col Jim watched the robots march on.
His nerve was steady, and his aim was true.
The massive rounds just bounced off the front armor.
Col Jim saw no reaction from the robots at all.
He knew his own rifle was pointless against them.

Other methods would be needed.  Time to withdraw, discretely.

Greener

The sky is starting to darken as the two giant robots are joined by a third.
Col Jim stands alone against them in the bell tower.
The robots march slowly forward.
Clomp, clomp, clomp they come.
Relentlessly, clomp, clomp.

Col Jim looks up a the blighters, shoulders his trusty 4 bore Greener gun, squeezes the trigger....

Col Jim

Colonel Jim, retired, world renowned big game hunter stands under the bell tower.
His beloved army destroyed in front of him.
Still he stands in the bell tower, his elephant gun tucked under the crook of his arm.
Defiant.
Determined.
And now, outnumbered!

COL Jim Fire

My wargame buddy and great friend COL Jim lost his home in a fire recently.  It was a two story house and you can see most of the second story is gone.  Jim is retired and lived here since he was a child.

The roof was mostly burned off and he lost most of his books.  His collection was spared, it was in the garage and at a friends house so most of it was safe.  The garage was not burned but did suffer extensive water damage.

Dining room and kitchen were just like the rest of the house, totally burned over.

A stairway that now leads no where.  The fire started upstairs due to and unattended space heater being used by one if his roommates.  Fire department arrived within minutes but could not save much.  No one was injured.  The home is a total loss and will have to be torn down.

This is is collection of videos.  Is your collection insured?  Is your collection dispersed so at least some of it might survive?  Do you have a fire extinguisher?
