Billy Hill Table Expansion Project

One of my on like toy solider hobby friends, Billy Hill, has a wire table just like mine.  So I refer to this as my "Billy Hill" table.  It is a wire table that I got at Walmart sometime in the last century.

I wanted it to be a little larger, so I have added to 4x4 pieces of crappy chipboard.  You can see here where I used to large screws to attach a 2x4 to the bottom.

Close up of the 2x4.  This is all scrap lumber that has been laying around the house since it was constructed 7 years ago, including the screws.

Board just sits end on, on top of the gravel.  

So far it has withstood winds of up to 40 mph, so despite the wonky appearance it seems to be doing okay.

Work continues on the wargame tables in the basement.

 Two tables, 40 feet long and 7 feet wide and 40 inches high.

The four shelves and the floor will store underbed storage boxes.

Five boxes per stack, enough for 400 boxes.  I will fill most of those spaces.

Each side will have two side tables of 2 feet deep and 7 feet long along the wall.

The side tables are for off board artillery, air fields, and for conducting bridging operations from side table to the main table.

The orange lines on the ceiling are the fire sprinklers.  Burning plastic is poisonous and so it seemed a reasonable precaution.

Wargame Table

M47 tanks by Roco are the first tanks on my wargame table.

M59 armored personnel carriers are the first on my wargame table.

When put into real action the table will be covered with cloth or carpet.

Esci US paratroopers are using the same gear they would have had in the 1950's.

I love having a large wargame table, I am so blessed.

F11 Tiger by Tim Mee.  This is a great wargame piece.  I am getting a few more I think.

F104 Starfighter by Tim Mee.  They come in a two pack with the F11.
