Gotham City Police

A set of Batman related cars from Hot Wheels.
I don't buy these sets often.
But the cars in this set seems pretty good.
I am building a Gotham City Police Department.
So getting their police cars seems a good idea.
I have seven of these sets so I have seven of these cars.
My plan is that Gotham is a rather small portion of a larger urban area.
It has it's own police and with mutual aid and a memorandum of understanding with other agencies has full authority with it's neighboring cities.
The car has decent underside detail.
Top has a sun roof rather than a light bar which seems odd.
Still it seems a good car with a few cops in the photo by Red Box in 1/72nd scale.

UK Police

Hot Wheels race car / police car.
Sort of a off road on road on track cop car.
Probably not something you would see on patrol much.
But it says POLICE so in my world, it's a cop car.
So look for it soon in your rear view mirror.
Nice open back.
Hi vis on the top.
Low vis on the bottom.
I got two of them.

More Police Vehicles

This is another one of the police vehicles in the Matchbox set.
It is an off road armored truck.
It has two sleeping dogs in the bed.  So it could be used to look for lost children, campers, or escaped convicts.
The set also includes this big ambulance van.
Some major police departments have special medical vans that are called out when SWAT goes to a call.  They are staffed by doctors rather than paramedics.  They are a mobile emergency room and can perform surgery at the point of injury.
These vehicles are quite large and would work well for that kind of ambulance, or for mass casualty events.
Semi-detailed underside.
Police set by Matchbox.  Get three or four of these and you have a whole police department!

Monster Funny Car

A Hot Wheels police car.
Since I am doing several national capitals, and Tokyo is one of them it seems like a good idea to have police cars for them.
Since having Godzilla models, having contemporary police seems a good idea.
This car is not specifically Godzilla themed but it does look a bit like him.
Under all that paint is it's a Mustang.
Some of the Godzilla movies have public or private organizations that study Godzilla.
Perhaps being able to drive 300 miles per hour could be an advantage if Godzilla were nearby.
It is an interesting paint scheme.
And the wheelie bar on the back is a nice touch.
Not sure what the V signifies.
The silver tires are interesting.

Japanese Police Cars

Hot Wheels Japanese Police Car.
A new series that seems to have appeared in stores.
I don't know why but Hot Wheels has issued at least three different Japanese police cars recently.
I am buying a couple of each in case I need Japanese police at some point.
The really seems more like a race car than a cop car.
But it is an interesting car.
The red window glass is strange.
Maybe it prevents damage from Godzilla fire.

 An interesting series.

Police SUV

Police SUV.
The SUV is a good police vehicle.
Police often carry a lot of gear, and an SUV has plenty of room.
It also has a bit of an off road ability compared to cars.
The back seats are big enough to fit prisoners which is not quite the case for many cars.
This model has a nice trailer hitch.
I will likely keep the color scheme but change the markings.
Plastic underside.  I managed to buy a bunch of these all on the same day by visiting several Dollar Tree stores in one day.
