Giant Bees

Recently MRS Bunkermeister and I visited Hobby Lobby.  She needed yarn for some project she was knitting and I never miss an opportunity to look for anything cool.

I always check the silicone molds used to make candy, or candles, or other stuff.

I found this mold of hexagon shapes.

Naturally I had to buy it for my giant bee collection.

It's really a nice size and less than $3.  And of course, I have a giant bee collection, thanks to my friend COL Jim he was kind enough to pick up some for me years ago.
 

Police SUV

Police SUV.

The SUV is a good police vehicle.

Police often carry a lot of gear, and an SUV has plenty of room.

It also has a bit of an off road ability compared to cars.

The back seats are big enough to fit prisoners which is not quite the case for many cars.

This model has a nice trailer hitch.

I will likely keep the color scheme but change the markings.

Plastic underside.  I managed to buy a bunch of these all on the same day by visiting several Dollar Tree stores in one day. 
 

Water Bottle Truck

Waterbottle truck.

I like this model a lot.

Look at those bottles, great looking plastic bottles.

Trucks like this are common in cities where offices often use bottled water.

The back has been essentially the same for 50 years, just replace the cab.

Although the cab is pretty similar for a long time too.

Good truck, I got a couple of them for my modern American city.
 

Ambulance Van

Matchbox ambulance.

Big box ambulance.

Often used for paramedics.

The box is big enough to stand up inside.

I have also seen older versions of this in use by police agencies.

It would likely make a nice camper too!

It's a good model, with a metal base.

The top is plain, usually the blinky lights are on the sides and front and rear of the box but not on the top.

Matchbox makes several versions of this with different paint jobs but this is the newest I have seen.  I got a few of them and may repaint or at least remark them.
