Mars German Cossacks.

1/72nd scale soft plastic figures.

Great knife fighting pose!

Advancing on foot.  While Cossacks are known as great horsemen, there are still many times they need to fight on foot.

Bayonet man.

Light machine gun.

Officer with sword, lots of edged weapons in this group.

Crouching rifleman.  I have a number of German Cossacks that I have put together prior to this set, but I am very happy with these troops too.
 

Mars Cossacks

Many Cossacks fought on the side of the Germans against the Russians in WWII.

This Mars set depicts some of those troops.

I cut off the box art and use it to identify the troops on my storage box.

More Tropical Paratroopers

I like that the poses are very action oriented.

The submachine gunner really leans into the weapon as if he is really shooting it.

The running man is really moving and he stands well on his base.  The kneeling machine gunner has a foot and a knee on the ground.  I hate kneeling poses with the knee hovering above the ground.

Grenade bundle to knock out a bunker or armored vehicle.

 Lots of shooting and advancing poses, good detail on the figures too.

Paratroopers from Mars

WWII German Paratroopers with Tropical Uniforms, World War Two.

There were a few German Paratroopers in the North African Campaign.

The Tropical uniform was for hot weather.

So anywhere around the Mediterranean Sea or parts of Southern Russia you could find troops like this.

There were 7 legitimate German Paratrooper units and many additional units that were never fully formed, or not trained in parachute jumping, or were non-divisional units.
