T-34 ARV

There were many versions of the T-34 recovery vehicle.

I built some with a box to the front.

Each one has a removable piece in the box.

In this case a drill press.

The item can be off loaded and make a repair center out of the pieces.

A few of these together and it makes a nice diorama.

Soviet ARVs

One of my T34 armored recovery vehicles.  The steel beam is from a tank obstacle.  The block and tackle from the Roco spares box.

Hatch on the center is a Roco M113 ramp hatch.

I had a spare Roco track and I cast it to use the roadwheels as spares on my ARVs.

Most Soviet ARVs at the time were simply towing vehicles.

I have a number of them in my units.

Land Battleships

There are only a few clear parts in the massive land battleship.

I use Model Master clear parts glue for the clear parts.

I use regular Model Master glue for the other parts.

There are many sub-assemblies to put together.

Making good progress.

Pig Tank

In the First World War and for at least 20 years afterwards, many put forward the idea of the land battleship.

Pictures like this one appeared in magazines for decades.

There is a Japanese company that makes a science fiction tank that looks a bit like this one.

It's a nice model, flash free, and with many moving parts.

It also has a lot of little bits in the suspension.

The crew is made up of pig men.  I won't use them with the tank, but will find some other use for them.
