Gardner Question?

What type of gardening does a Gardner Gun do?

Mowing. It mows down the enemy like blades of grass.

I like this guy. He really looks good. The detail, the pose, the weapons. I am certain he will have to face dinosaurs, natives, King Kong and God knows what else at some point.

Carriage mount without the gun mounted. Any number of guns could be placed on that carriage, including Maxim guns, and Colt machine guns. Loads of conversion work will happen to the members of this set.

Gardner Gun

This is the new HaT Gardner Gun in 1/72nd scale plastic.

You get a a choice on the guns, they can be mounted on a static naval mount or on a carriage like a small field gun.

Despite what the box says this is not really a Gardner Gun set. It is actually a naval landing party set, with Gardner Gun.

Three of the guys have rifles one is an officer with sabre and pistol and the other two have open hands presumably to operate the Gardner Gun.

It makes up as a neat little gun. The vertical magazine is not emplaced in this photo. You get one gun for each carriage or naval mount, so you will have left over carriages or naval mounts. Not a problem as both of these are very useful items. I don't know much of anything about the British Navy in the colonial period, but these guys fit my stereotype. I will probably cut their heads off and use the flat hats on them. That looks more US Navy to me and I need some US Navy for the turn of the century.

German paratrooper with panzerfaust. A couple of these guys in with the old Airfix set and you have added years to the usage of that set. From early war to late war.

HaT solder in greatcoat with the metal conversions. They fit perfectly with the plastic figures. Excellent work, as always!

Special Conversions

1/72nd scale metal figures from Jaques Calvancani. This is a very active German paratrooper! I love how he leans into the submachine gun. This shows someone has shot a machine pistol.

Another WWII German, this time an army soldier not a paratrooper.

Another paratrooper, WWII German. They often dropped with knives and pistols and only later picked up their long guns and crew served weapons from canisters. The action on this guy is terrific.

Panzer officer with grenade and pistol. Dismounted tank crews would have them readily to hand.

Romanian army soldier. The only one in my collection!
