My friend Clarence was kind enough to send me a few die cast metal vehicles. One of them is this truck. It was painted a very dark glossy green. I stripped the paint and now I am going to repaint it. The plastic windshield got melted in the paint remover. So I will have to replace it somehow.
Rust-Oleum 2X paint is both a paint and a primer. Usually I prefer to use gray or white primer and then over paint with whatever color I want the model to be. Since I am going to paint this model in pink, and the model is a rather uniform color I plan on just painting it in Gloss Pink rather than prime it first.
The cab, not a very realistic military truck cab, but perfect for a truck for COL Gumm.
The truck bed and the canopy. In the Batman 66 comic book series, the villain, General Gumm, (in the TV series, Colonel Gumm) has a 2 1/2 ton size truck that looks almost exactly like this model. The canopy will be flat white. Gumm works for a trading stamp company, printing the trading stamps, as a cover for his postage stamp counterfeiting operation.
