Fireball 500

Fireball 500 is the name of this car and it was in a movie by the same name.

The real car was made by George Barris who also made the Batmobile soon after this car was build.

The Batmobile is also mentioned in the movie.

The movie starred Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello, Fabian and Harvey Lembeck who stared in many of the Beach Party movies.

So this car works for my racing, custom car, Batman, and Beach Blanket projects.

Strangely despite the movie being named after this car and all the money spent on making the car, it basically sits on a trailer for most of the movie.

The car started life as a Plymouth Barracuda.

The die cast version is one of the Johnny Lighting Show Rods and so is a very upgraded car from the usual die cast.

The paint job is fantastic, the wheels are great, the decals are perfect and the little mirrored base is great.  I will certainly be using that more.
