Chemical Corps truck sets up a mobile gas dispenser.

Highly mobile long range heavy guns.

Another field kitchen.  Don't want the troops to have to walk too far for chow in the snow.

More trucks arriving and bringing supplies.
 

Heavy Artillery

The troops have set up field kitchens to feed the soldiers.

And a refueling station as well to feed the hungry motors.

Cobalt blue US Army means Chemical Corps.

Light blue trucks mean infantry.

Quartermaster Corps

The sound of snow was replaced by the sound of motors.

Army trucks!

The buff color of the U.S. Army markings indicated Quartermaster Corp.

The few residents who saw it did not know what that meant.

 The trucks arrived in heavy snow.

Being Home

Some thought nothing bad would happen.

A few hoped the Army would come and help them evacuate.

Most people had lived here all their lives and did not want to leave.

So they stayed.

 Being caught out in the snow would not be better than being at home.
